COVID-19 Resources

Vaccination Requirements

As we continue to navigate the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic, we turn to guidance from Public Health and the Ontario Government to shape our Health and Safety Policies and Procedures, holding the best interests of our clients and their families, staff and our community, in mind. At Pathways, our safety protocols have served us well, and must remain a top priority. It is why our health and safety protocols have been stringent. It is why we advocated for access to vaccines for our team members. And now, it is why we have taken further steps:

Given the responsibility we have toward our clients, as well as our legal obligation to comply with the Chief Medical Officer of Health’s directive for Children’s Treatment Centres, the Pathways Board of Directors has approved a policy that all employees, contractors, volunteers and students (on educational placements) will be required to be fully vaccinated by November 12, 2021.

POOL- Proof of Vaccination

As per Ontario regulations and Lambton Public Health, patrons 12+ years old, accessing the Pathways aquatics facility as part of an external group rental, must provide proof of identification and of being fully vaccinated/ immunized against COVID-19 at the point of entry.  Pathways clients and caregivers accessing therapy programs in the pool are exempt. Additional information can be found at https://covid-19.ontario.ca/proof-covid-19-vaccination. If you have any questions, please contact the Aquatics Supervisor directly at aquatics@pathwayscentre.org.

Continuing Health & Safety Protocols

We continue to follow Health & Safety protocols requiring screening of staff and all visitors. Masks are required for those over 2, unless exempt. Our staff wear additional personal protective equipment as required. We continue to request that only one parent/caregiver accompany a child to the appointment. Physical distancing and enhanced cleaning protocols remain in place.
