We welcome high school students and adults to contact our Supervisor of Student and Volunteer Services at 519-542-3471 ext. 280 or 1-855-542-3471 to find out about volunteer opportunities and to schedule an initial interview.
Four types of volunteer opportunities are offered, depending on experience, interest and availability of programs:
- Program Volunteer* with children / youth e.g., aquatic sessions, C.A.C.H.É. Child Care Service, Therapeutic Recreation, etc.
- Clerical Volunteer* e.g., filing, mailing, reception
- Special Event Volunteer** (Fundraising / Community Relations) e.g., BBQs, raffles and ticket sales, car shows, art show, golf tournaments, Secret Santa, set up and tear down at events
- Board of Director
To advise, govern, oversee policy and direction and assist with the leadership and general promotion of Pathways so as to support the organization's mission and needs.
*These types of volunteers usually come at a set time every week and must go through a multi-step screening process, which includes a Police Vulnerable Sector Check, proof of immunizations, an interview and references.
**These volunteers are contacted as needed and go through an abbreviated screening process.
