Therapeutic Recreation

Leisure contributes significantly to a child’s physical, social, emotional, spiritual, psychological health and well-being. Our Therapeutic Recreation Specialists use leisure and recreation to help children and youth participate in their communities and enhance the quality of their lives by:
<ul>
<li>providing leisure education to help discover leisure opportunities and options </li>
<li>working to identify and remove constraints and barriers to leisure participation </li>
<li>communicating the benefits of leisure to help prioritize life-long leisure pursuits </li>
</ul>
