Audiologists provide hearing services for children birth to age 19. They work closely with clients and their families to help them cope with hearing loss, and provide appropriate hearing aids and assistive listening devices.
Audiology services include:
- Hearing testing
- Central Auditory Processing testing: for children age 6 or older who have difficulty attending to, discriminating, recognizing, remembering, or understanding what they hear
- Hearing Aids and Assistive Listening Devices: prescription & dispensing of all makes and models of hearing aids and assistive listening devices
- Educational Audiology Services; consultation of teachers and community groups
- participates in the Ontario Infant Hearing Program
