Who We Are

Medical services at Pathways Health Centre for Children are provided by: Medical Director and Consulting Specialists who assess and consult with clients / families and clinical staff at regular clinics in:

  • Autism Diagnostic Hub
  • Neuro-developmental Pediatrics
  • Orthopedics

Pathways’ children and youth continue to have their family physician or paediatrician maintain responsibility for their medical care.

Who we serve:

Autism Diagnostic Hub – your child must either be on caseload at Pathways and a clinician is referring your child, or be referred into the Hub from a health care provider supporting the request for an assessment

Neuro-developmental Pediatric clinic – your child must be on active caseload and under the age of 6 years old. Referrals are done internally by your Pathways team. No outside referrals are accepted for this clinic

Orthopedics – you or your child/youth must be on active caseload at Pathways. Please speak with your Pathways team if you think your child would benefit from this clinic.

Wait times can range from 12-24 months.

What to expect:

Once booked for a clinic, families will be given assessment booklets that will be completed by parents/caregivers and school(if appropriate) prior to the consult appointment.

Consult appointments take place at Pathways and typically are 1.5-2 hours in length.

Follow up is done with your local health care provider.
