The Board of Directors for Pathways Health Centre for Children announces the retirement of Alison Morrison, Chief Executive Officer, effective September 7, 2026. Alison has worked at Pathways for twenty-eight years; serving as the Chief Executive Officer for the past seven years. First coming to the organization as a Speech-Language Pathologist in 1998, Alison provided front-line service for many years before transitioning into leadership roles.
Under Alison’s exemplary leadership, Pathways focused on helping children and their families reach for their potential, navigated the organization through pandemic years, championed the therapeutic pool refurbishment project, celebrated Pathways’ 50th anniversary, worked through a new strategic plan and set the groundwork for a possible expansion. During her time, Alison and the staff received several recognitions, including Accreditation with Exemplary Standing and the Chamber of Commerce Outstanding Business Achievement Awards for “Cool Place to Work” and “Non-Profit of the Year”.
“We have appreciated Alison’s thoughtful and caring leadership”, said Alison Mahon, Chair of the Board. “She has put her heart and soul into Pathways and with her team, she has created an organization that continues to adapt and look at strategies to grow and continually meet the needs of children and families. We wish Alison all the best in the next stage of her life.”
“I carry a deep sense of pride in the work of Pathways. It has been a privilege to be part of such a skilled, dedicated and compassionate team. Together, we have navigated complexity, grown our impact, and strengthened the care we provide. While I look forward with excitement to what is ahead for me, I am also excited to see how this organization will continue to grow, innovate, and deliver excellent care into the future.” Alison Morrison, Outgoing Chief Executive Officer.
The Board has engaged an executive search partner to support the recruitment of the organization’s next Chief Executive Officer. Further details regarding the opportunity will be available shortly.
